Khazna’s board members are
Mounir is the Executive Director of Information & Communications Technology (ICT), with responsibility for Mubadala’s satellite communications, information technology, and telecommunications portfolio.
Mounir serves as the Chairman across a number of organizations including Khazna Data Centers Limited, the only dedicated commercial wholesale data center offering in the UAE; Cognit, the joint venture established between Mubadala and IBM to be the exclusive provider of IBM Watson in the MENA region; and Yahlive, the Abu Dhabi-based satellite joint venture between satellite operator SES and Yahsat.
He has over 25 years of international business experience and has held several high-level positions in sectors including investment and development, real estate, healthcare, retail and venture capital.
Board Positions: Al Yah Satellite Communications Company, Injazat Data Systems, and Star Satellite Communications Company.
Sara is a Vice President in Mubadala’s Aerospace, Renewables and ICT Communications platform. She assists across various roles within the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) unit within the platform, including business development and asset management.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Sara was previously a business analyst at BP International for over three years. She was responsible for setting up the economic model for foreign shareholders, as well as monitoring the performance and business development of key assets.
In addition to serving as a member of Khazna’s board of directors, Sara also sits on the board of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), the multipurpose satellite solutions provider.
Farid Faraidooni is Chief Operations Officer at du, and currently looks after customer operations, network, IT development and operations, technology security risk management, products engineering and operations planning and services. Prior to this, he held the roles of Chief Commercial Officer, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs.
Before joining du, Farid facilitated the implementation of TECOM investments, and technology clusters such as the Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, Dubai Healthcare City and other business parks.
In 2003, he was nominated by TECOM investments in the Distinguished Government Employee category in the Dubai Government Excellence Program Awards.
Farid is also a founding member of the Information Technology Forum in the UAE.
